Quando ascoltate "Please Stop", vi trovate di fronte a un appello urgente, tanto profondo quanto sbigottito, per la difesa della vita e della salute pubblica. Con questa canzone vogliamo evidenziare una realtà purtroppo evidente: il mondo oggi è alla mercé di cerchie di potere spesso guidate da leader di una certa età. Parliamo di persone che sembrano aver smarrito quella dignità, quella cultura umana e quello spirito di cooperazione che un tempo univano le persone.
C'è un forte contrasto con il passato: qualche decennio fa, nel dopoguerra, le persone di una certa età erano i primi a dare l'esempio di umanità. Erano i custodi del sapere e da loro si apprendevano i valori fondamentali per costruire la società. Oggi, invece, assistiamo a leader della stessa generazione che mirano esclusivamente al proprio interesse, agendo senza alcuna etica e tradendo quel ruolo di guide sagge. Chi ricopre ruoli di governo dovrebbe essere il primo a dare l'esempio, agendo come custode del bene comune. Il potere non deve essere uno strumento per l'arricchimento personale o per assecondare interessi esclusivi.
